What is CrossFit?
What is CrossFit?
"Crossfit is, quite simply, a sport-the "The sport of fitness". CrossFit combines weightlifting, sprinting, and gymnastics. CrossFit says that proficiency is required in each of ten fitness domains: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy. It defines fitness as increased work capacity across all these domains and says its program achieves this by provoking neurologic and hormonal adaptations across all metabolic pathways." - CrossFit Main Site
All of this is true, and so much more! CrossFit is not just for the athlete. Anyone can do CrossFit. It's for the teachers, new moms, 40 year old former athletes, 60 year olds trying to keep up with their grandchildren, and everyone in between.
You do not need to be able bodied or "fit" to do CrossFit. CrossFit will make you stronger, faster, and more agile than you are today - no matter what you are doing or not doing right now. It doesn't matter if you haven't worked out in 20 years or ever – CrossFit is for every age, fitness, and motivational level.
CrossFit is more than getting fit; it builds self-esteem, relieves stress, and is a healthy social outlet.
Why CrossFit Legitimus?
We are a results proven company from top to bottom. All of us at one point decided to make a change and the CrossFit community helped us. We provide a judgment free environment with no mirrors or crazy machines that take a manual to figure out how to operate.
Our model is simple. We share everything we know to help you reach your goals. All members are unique and it is our responsibility to provide a positive, inspirational, and motivational environment. You'll work hard at CFL and you won't be alone. Your peers and coaches will be cheering you on all the way. There is no judgment at CFL, all abilities are welcome.
We coach you to perform functional movements at high intensity, giving you a comprehensive full-body workout in under an hour, including skill instruction, strength building, and cardiovascular conditioning.
Classes are instructor-led and peer-driven, providing an excellent mixture of individual coaching and group motivation. You'll begin with a group dynamic warm-up that gets your joints loose, body moving, and your heart pumping. Then we'll teach you or review the skills you'll need to be ready to safely and confidently start the workout or WOD (workout of the day). You will be coached throughout the workout ensuring that you're getting the most out of your time. Finally, we will conclude our hour with stretching or what we like to call "after care" to keep you coming back for more.
